This was for sure the shortest Vegas trip ever, ever!!!
Michele and I left San Jose Saturday at 9 am and our flight from Vegas back to San Jose was Sunday at 9 am. I know CRAZY!!
We stayed at the Westin on Flamingo street, behind the Venetian (around that area). It was nice and peaceful.
We had the best dinner ever at Sake rock. Confession, since finding this place in March, we have eaten there every time we have gone. And if you follow my IG and FB you know it was a lot of times. The food is just so good, and the show (starting at 6) its amazing.
Reason we did such a short Vegas trip, it was Ricky Martin's last Vegas performance. yes I know I saw him in April and if I lived in Vegas I would had probably watched him once a week. But I could not miss seen him again, when he was so close.
The show was amazing as always. I was sweating from all the dancing. This time I saw him from a higher level (not the floor, man I loved the floor), but it was great as I got to see the whole show. Michele had a great time and I think she may be a Ricky fan now.
I also got to see Lisa, I meet her at the crazy long lines for Ricky's book signing in LA some years ago, and thanks to social media we have stayed in touch. It was so nice to see her and chat with her.
I did not take a lot of pictures. I am learning to be more present and in the moment, experience everything first had rather than thru the screen of my phone.
Someone asked me "what do you pack for a trip to Vegas that will last less than 24 hours?" so here it is; PJs, socks, sandals, concert shoes and clothing, comfy clothes for the next morning flight, a light jacket, and bathroom essentials, and don't forget your phone charger. Nothing else. I had no options, so I am glad I did not change my mind of wearing what I did. Which by the way was the same thing Michele wore, as we totally bought the same shirt at target but not together, so we wore it to the concert, oh and we wore the same sandals on Saturday lol
I am the mom of twin boys, a wife, a daughter, a friend, a dreamer, a reader, and high school administrator. I love my life. Pablo and I have been married for almost 22 years. The boys are 17. We love traveling, watching sport, reading, and hanging out.

Ricky Martin concert
Last Thursday night I was able to go to the Ricky MArtin concert. It was amazing!!!
My mind was already in concert mode since I woke up, is Ricky what can i say. If you know me you know he is my number one (JT is a very close number 2). Ricky's concerts get better and better every passing year.
Saira went with me and we were able to chat and catch up. I hadn't sen her since Lizette's wedding. We took Bart from Fremont (thanks Pablo for taking us and picking us up) to Oakland. Honestly there is no better way to get around the bay area.
Once we got there we walked right in, we made it right at 7:30 so Ha'Ash was just starting. It was nice coming in at this time, the merchandise line was super short. I was able to get my hoodie and my travels mug without having to wait more than 5 minutes.
I didn't realized I knew so many of Ha'Ash songs. It was a good show.
Then it was time for Ricky!!!!!
And it was AMAZING from the start. He sang all my favorite songs Tal Vez, Vuelve, and Asignatura Pendiente. He sang a good amount of old and new songs, English and Spanish songs. I was on my feet the whole time he was on stage singing and dancing. My throat still hurts form all the yelling/screaming/singing along. It was definitely the best show I have seen in a long time.
I wish I had driven down to LA but the timing was just not right with two Paint Nite and two Sharks games coming up before the end of the month. But maybe just maybe I can fly down to Florida and watch him there.
In case I didn't tell you guys, the concert was AMAZING!!!!!

Ricky Martin Book Signing - "Me"

I had a great day yesterday. I woke up at 4 AM and headed to the Grove to make line until 9 AM to get a wristband so I could get "Me" signed by Ricky. It was an amazing experience, I had never gotten up so early for something like this, but it was so worth it....in the AM people were crazy trying to be the first in line, people sleep over in their cars wow, i meet some great people and hopefully we will keep in touch for future events (they are also Twilight fans). we had a great time getting to know each other. at 9 they started taking people in (finally) and I got a purple band with the letter "E" i was around number 60 in line. after that i came home (stuck on the 10 forever).
At 2:30 PM Bianca and I left to go back to The Grove and watch the Extra interview with Ricky, it was amazing, he is amazing. Then waiting time started, ahhh it felt for ever. at around 6 they started separating us into our letters and getting us into Barns and Nobles, there we waited some more until 7:50 when he arrived (he was taping Larry King that is why he was late). and then the line started moving........

Ricky signing
wow when it was my turn, I showed him a picture o f my boys, told him I had two years old twins (Matthew and Zachary) their birthday (8/2/08) Ricky said "wow that's an amazing coincidence" his boys were born 8/6/08, and then I told him i knew exactly what he was going thru, then he said "I don't sleep, do you sleep?" I said no, that the boys wont stay in their bed, but that it is amazing to have them, and he said "yes it is life changing" then I asked him if I could give him hug and he reached over and i reached over, and and i hugged him and kiss on cheek (yeah i didn't want to wash my face but....)he had amazing eye contact, he looks at everyone when you are talking to him.........and then I almost passed out, i was shaking, and my eyes got all teary eye, is for sure something I wanted my whole life. Ricky has been the only celebrity that has been a constant in my life, the only person i ever wanted to meet, and now I meet him wow, that is all i can say wow!!!
