weekend hike

Yesterday we completed our summer bucket list with a very nice hike.
We started our day at Starbucks for breakfast, as always it was super yummy. Then we drove an hour to get the Big Basin Redwood State Park. The drive was nerve-racking and I am glad Pablo was driving. At one point it was a two way street but only one car would fit, with nothing to one side and mountain to the other. the way out was a lot better even thought there were a lot more cars going the opposite direction. But it was so worth it. The hike was great, we hiked toward a waterfall and it was a bout 4 miles long. The boys did fantastic, and they keep asking when we could go to another one. It is so nice to live so close to the mountain with plenty of hiking places.

Here are so picture......

Of course we started planning a 2014-2015 school year bucket list, with different hikes, a trip to Legoland, bowling, miniature golfing (twice), movies (the box trolls, the book of life, paddington, the underdog), Monterrey aquarium, Santa Cruz, and Capitol. Maybe we will add a Universal Studious trip. This way we have something fun to look for once or twice a month and don't feel the need to fill every weekend with whatever comes around.
