Hockey!!!

If you would had told me 10, 8, even 4 years ago that I would be a hockey fan (or any sport really) I would had told you NEVER! but here I am. Fully into hockey, Sharks Hockey to be exact. And guess what I LOVE LOVE LOVE it.

It all started when we took the boys to watch a pre season game in 2014. Zachary loved it right away. I don't think we watched any other game that season. But Zachary soon started asking to play hockey.  A year later, after a broken arm during summer, we started going to more and more hockey games, we loved it. We would buy tickets from my friends parents, they are season holder. We had such. great time. Matthew wasn't that interested, he started going to some Niner games with Pablo.

Last season we bought 1/2 the season, and we still went to several more games on top of that, so this season we got the whole season. Now I do need to sell some tickets, so if you want any let me know (lorenamaldo@yahoo.com).

But the point is that we LOVE hockey, well Zachary and I. We keep up with the score of away games, and usually watch those as well. We even listen to them on the NHL app if we are not home. We have more gear between the two of us that the store, okay maybe not that much, but we could wear something Sharks related every day for 2 and a half weeks. We both ave two jerseys and we want the white one with Burns (88) on it, but we will not get it, or maybe, no we won't!

Pre season games are always fun, we don't care if we lose but man if we win its great. Season officially started today woooohoooo with the he opener against the Philadelphia Flyers (Zach is going to be so proud that I remember the right team lol). Of course we have being talking about it and planning the evening for like a week now. Street rally, some popcorn, and then the game. Of course we have to go to the store, its a must every game, even thought nothing changes from one game to the other. And we usually don't buy anything lol its just fun.

The opening game did not go as planned, meaning we lost (tears). But we still had a great time ! We checked out the street rally, which we both agreed was kind of boring, but I think it is because, well, we have gone to some many and they all have the sammmmmeeee thing. But we did get a reusable Sharks bag, and you know how much I like reusable bags lol. We also checked out the store, Zachary was looking for a new wallet and any new Oyo Sports figure and I was looking for a license plate, but no luck for anything.

The Flyers played physical hard and we couldn't pass for anything, it did not help that we got penalized for everything little thing we did, arg those referees suck!! Hopefully today's game will have a different outcome!!

New season, new end of the game selfies, you can actually see how tired I was on Wednesday, thankfully Zach agreed to leave 5 minutes early, we avoided the getting out traffic, but I promised we wouldn't leave early again, win or loose.

What the what!!!

Oh man, so many things have happened. Let see........

1. I got PINK hair now. I know I know its all knew you have all seen the pictures on FB and IG, but if you happened to just find this blog, I now have pink hair. I LOVE it!!!! Its totally different and out of my comfort zone, specially when I have to go to board meetings, I am sure they were thinking what the heck, how is that??!! hahaha but I do LOVE it. I have wanted pink hair for a while now and really this is it, this was the time to do it.

 


2. I meet Brent Burns. If you don't know who he is, we can't be friend any more. J/K!!! He plays defense for the San Jose Sharks, yes yes hockey season will start so soon and you will all be bombarded with hockey pictures. Anyway he was having a fundraiser at a tattoo place (which of course made me want to get a tattoo, maybe a sharks one), you buy a shirt (or donate $$) and get the shirt autograph and of course pictures. I am so glad Jackie went with me, love it when my fiends are willing to do crazy last minutes things with me lol. I love the shirt and Brent is so nice and so tall and looks good, even if he is missing teeth (lol).

 



3. Work work work, I actually do not feel completely overwhelmed, maybe having more than 2 people doing assessments help, a lot. The kiddos are a bunch of cuties, and how is it the middle of September already, WHAT!!! where did the time go. I already had 3 IEP meetings. I think I should write in my teacher blog it has being neglected for like a year. I am enjoying using Unique and SEAL for lessons and activities. But I will write more about the class in the other blog, so go read it :)

4. School, and I don't mean work school, I mean school school. I do not know if you all knew that I am in school, yet again. come on, who doesn't need 3 Master degrees?! Well in October 28 I will complete me second credential and in April I will complete my third, yes third masters, this one is a Masters in Science in Educational Administration. What does that mean you ask? I can actually look for administration jobs, like for special ed coordinator. Reason why I dyed my hair pink now, once I start looking for jobs I need to look professional (not fun lol). I annoy sure when I am going o start looking for job or where, I think once I am don Pablo and I need to sit and chat what we want to do and where we want to go. Maybe a BIG change maybe not. We will see, if you know me you know I am all for adventure lol, I mean I am not scared of change, life is short, we have to make our dreams come true.


5. The boys are doing AMAZING as always. We sure got lucky with them, even at their worst they re sweet and say sorry so quickly. We are still getting thank you from our summer vacation. They re both doing great in school. Finally got both of their SBAC scores and they both did amazing, so proud of them. Matthew is loving soccer watching it and playing, and Zachary is starting hockey again in a few weeks, we had to buy ALL new gear OMG!!, and of course counting down for the season to start and our Shark adventures to begin.

6. Vacations, yes I am already getting questions about our next adventure and yes it is booked already, not all of it but parts. Why? so we can make payments and it is not a BIG chunk at once, this was we have to pay to make payments and bet he time the trip comes it is all paid off. I won't say where or when yet, but I will let you all know soon !!
